This week I'm digging back into my archives again. I think this one was taken with my current camera, but I'm honestly not sure anymore. Still, it's a subject I want to take more of in the future. Bees and flowers are a ton of fun to photograph, and somewhat challenging.
I quite like the way the depth of field worked out, although I'm sure this was taken on auto mode. Just luck.
Really though, I need to get back out and take more photographs, or at least get the current crop off of the camera card soon.

Great macro shot! I must admit I leave my camera on auto mode more than I should also.
I love this. Bees are really difficult to photograph. I'm always trying to catch the on camera, but never quite succeed.
I keep my distance from bees, but I like your photograph.
I like shots of bees and other insects visiting flowers too. This flower is such a beautiful blue. I love how the bees wings look golden.
Scary taking photos of bees. I'm always afraid of getting stung.

Thanks Jackie, it's the easy way to do things, the "I don't want to miss this shot" way. I'll use it nearly exclusively when I really don't want to miss the shot, like when I'm travelling.

I tend to too, Carolyn - except when I'm behind the camera. Of course, you could use a longer focal length lens like a 40-150 lens rather than the standard one. Might not get the depth of field to work as shallowly though.

The only time I've captured a bee in photo was by accident...I didn't even realize he was in there until I looked at the pictures later.
