Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teasers:
One particularly intriguing find from Pompeii itself is a couple of wax tablets discovered stashed away with some silverware in the furnace of a set of baths. They record a loan from one woman, Dicidia Margaris, to another, Poppaea Note, an ex-slave.The Fires of Vesuvius: Pompeii Lost And Found by Mary Beard. Page 182.

Sounds great thanks for sharing!
Teaser Tuesday
Thanks Moonlight Gleam. It's turning out to be surprisingly good. Mary Beard has a sense of humour going on in the way she wrote this.
Thanks Brittany and BLHmistress.
