Saturday Snapshot is a fun little meme hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. I've gotten to really enjoy participating in this - it makes me go back through my photo collection to see what I've taken over the years.
This week's is one from the summer - I love trying to take pictures of birds in flight, but it's a lot more difficult than it seems.

He may not be in flight, but his launch is still pretty cool. I love crows! I'm always looking out for them around my neighborhood.
Thanks, Trish. In this case that's what I was going for, but up close the photo is still a bit out of focus. That's what I haven't completely mastered. Well, that and trying to take the photos under manual settings.
Good capture. The crow looks more like he just tripped off the railing.
Thanks Vicki.
He does a bit, Kaye. Thanks for commenting.
That is such a neat photo of him taking off!
Birds in flight most definitely a difficult subject.
Not a fan of crows, but it is a great capture.
Thanks Alyce. Liked your photos for this week too.
They are for sure, Irene. Thanks for stopping in with a comment.
They're not my favourites either Diane, but he was a convenient and close target for my camera. Thanks for stopping in.
I try and photograph birds (in flight or not) and know how hard it is. I'm excited whenever I accidentally get something in focus. Well done.
Thanks, Louise. That sums it up exactly, that feeling of "I got it right this time" and you never know that fully until you get the camera home and the images onto the computer to view at a decent size.
